Community Voices welcome for new columns

The Pine River Times is in need of some guest columnists!

I would like to offer this opportunity to local agencies and groups to tell your stories and share them with the communities of Bayfield, Ignacio, Vallecito, Arboles and Allison. I'd like to thank the Bayfield and Ignacio school superintendents, Pine River Public Library and Pine River Community Learning Center for sharing their thoughts during the past month as we've started the new Community Voices columns.

Now it's your turn!

Columns should be fairly brief - 300 to 350 words max. If they are longer, either I will edit them, or they will go into the bottom of my stack.

They need to pertain to local issues and groups only.

I can't guarantee publication, or a date of publication. Of course, if you're having an event and would like to promote it, I'll do my best to run it before your big day.

I need column submissions by noon on Wednesdays.

Email to prt@pinerivertimes.com as a document or word is preferred. No PDFs, please. Community Voices columns don't need to be written by the boss or club president - anyone who can put coherent thoughts on paper is welcome to send a piece my way.

If you'd like to give it a shot, please send something in my direction!

Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have questions or would like to discuss it further, please call me at 884-2331.

Thanks for reading.
