Southern Ute Community Action Programs is sponsoring its annual dodgeball tournament for Snowdown.

Competition is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29 at the Durango Recreation Center.

Registration is due at noon Wednesday, Jan. 28. Registration forms are available at www.sucap.org, or call 563-4517. Registration is $85 per team.

On Wednesday, the Durango Education Center will hold its annual Snowdown Spellebration competition. Three-person teams compete in a family-friendly spelling event starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Henry Strater Theater. The entry fee is $200 per team. Registration is due at 5 p.m. Monday.
