Bayfield Lions renovating hall

Annual fundraising banquet set for April 11
Jon Robison and Ron Dunavant are among the Lions Club members and volunteers who worked on the first phase of renovating the hall in downtown Bayfield. Other phases of renovation will cover the kitchen and the exterior of the historic building.

The Bayfield Lions Club has finished its first phase of the renovations to the Lions Hall, with a complete renovation to the main hall. The work was completed with money raised through grants and the annual banquet and auction. Club members have donated over 500 volunteer hours of labor. Bayfield contractors A to Z Electric, Bayfield Painting, and Mike Muir Construction completed the rest of the renovation.

No money from Lions Club charities was used; that money is used for eye glasses, emergency food and clothes for people in need and emergency relief efforts along with other ongoing aid work.

This year's banquet and auction will be held at the Lions Hall on April 11. Club members are asking for the donation of goods and services for the annual auction.
