Ignacio's Adison Jones (5), playing for the All-State Black Team, leaps to the rim for a tip-in attempt against Red players Raul Lopez (5) of Meeker and Tristan Nelson (12) of Holly during third-place action last Saturday at Adams State University at the 59th Colorado High School Coaches Association All-State Games. Jones, who notched a basket, rebound, assist and blocked shot all during the game's first four minutes, secured Black an overtime victory with a last-second swat. The third-place title avenged a 57-49 loss to Blue earlier in the day. "It was a fun way to end my high-school basketball career," Jones said.

Jones receives congratulations from one of his CHSCA All-State Black Team coaches during action last Saturday. Jones would receive plenty more props when all was said and done in Alamosa. "We played well together as a team," said Jones. "Started executing the way we'd been practicing in the little bit of time that we had. It just all started clicking together."
