Wine sales, art auction to benefit Wolfwood

Trinity is one of the ambassador wolves from Wolfwood Refuge in Ignacio.

Wolves and wolf-hybrids at Wolfwood Refuge like wine.

Or at least the funds that wine can provide.

From 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, the Four Leaves Winery will welcome an ambassador wolf from the refuge. The event is during the Durango Art Walk.

The evening will feature select wines with pictures of animals that call the refuge home, as well as a generous donation from each bottle sold.

For those who purchase four bottles of wine, two Wolfwood wine glasses will be given as a special thank you.

The evening will also introduce the art that has been donated by local artists for Wolfwood Refuge's fourth annual art auction on Sept. 13 at the Lost Dog Bar and Lounge in Durango.

The art will remain on display at Four Leaves for a week, allowing the public to view the art in advance of the live auction.

During the Art Walk, representatives from Wolfwood will be on hand to answer questions about the refuge and sell tickets for the upcoming art auction.

www.wolfwoodrefuge.org has information and photos of the art featured in the live auction.
