Candy Heide of Bayfield has been hired as vice president of business banking at First National Bank of Durango.

Heide has 20 years of banking experience in Minnesota and Colorado.

"I have had amazing opportunities to experience lending and banking through many different roles," Heide said in a statement. "My interest was initially sparked by working in my college financial aid department, then followed by working for the USDA Farm Service Agency with loan programs." Heide also has worked in commercial and construction banking.

She supports the bank's community involvement in Southwest Colorado.

"This bank is not just a business, but truly an integral part of the communities it serves," she said. "Through these community involvements, I believe that relationships are forged so that we can continue to support the needs of our neighbors through our banking profession."

Heide will divide her time between the Bayfield and Durango locations of First National.
