Bayfield Elementary School will host "Meet an Author, Become an Author" family night on Thursday, May 5.

The event will feature readings by local authors. Families will have a chance to purchase books and have them signed. All students who attend will receive a free hard-bound black book for writing their own story ofver the summer. Student authors can bring back their completed books in the the fall to read to their fellow students.

Dinner will be provided from 5 to 5:30 p.m., followed by the author readings.
