Errand business opens in Bayfield

Jonathan Gray, owner of Aaron's Errands, and his sidekick canine, Brie. He delivers flowers for Floral Expressions as well as running errands for clients.

Need stuff done but running out of time to do it?

Aaron's Errands might be able to help.

Started by owner Jonathan Gray in April, he'll deliver groceries, prescriptions, parts, hardware, or about anything else you need to your home or work.

So far, his primary business has been delivering flowers and furniture, but he's hoping the grocery and errands aspect will expand. He did bring a six-pack of ginger beer and a pack of cigarettes to a customer recently. The cost is $9 to $19, or more for longer distances. He'll also pick up dirty clothes, deliver it to College Plaza Laundry in Durango for them to launder, and bring it back to your home.

"You don't have to do your own errands," Gray said. "Somebody else can do the basics. You can handle the complicated parts."

He'll also do well checks on senior citizens and security checks on summer homes.

Gray accepts credit cards, checks or cash and will purchase items for clients, as well, and they can reimburse him.

The business is named in honor of his step-father, Gray noted. His mutt, Brie, accompanies him on most of his trips.

Gray can be reached at 403-9779.
