Taxi owner: PUC is unfair

I just lost a hearing for starting my business, Bayfield Taxi Carrier, against the monopoly in La Plata County, Durango Cab, with an administrative law judge from the Public Utilities Commission. I wanted to open a cab company in Bayfield. The officers said my application was fine.

I feel that making me go to court was unfair for several reasons. I contacted the advisor from the Public Utilities Commission before court and she told me the wrong information about what documents I should and shouldn't file as exhibits. The judge said that my letters of public support were hearsay, though they were written on company letterheads with sworn statements signed by local business owners. I was not allowed to use them as evidence that Durango Cab's service in Bayfield is inadequate. I think I will also try a petition supporting my new business, Bayfield Transportation. I have a clean driving record, a clean criminal record and plenty of experience. I need to have my own taxi business to guarantee the cleanliness and good service in my community.
