3rd annual Off the Beaten Path set for Saturday

Artistic explosion, car show among events in Gem Village
Amber Malarsie, a Bayfield artist, says Off the Beaten Path is a good way to reach members of the public who don't typically visit art shows and galleries. The third annual event takes place tomorrow in Gem Village.

A car show, live music, food, arts vendors and poker stroll are among the events Saturday for the third annual Off the Beaten Path event in Gem Village.

A poker stroll will involve filling a hand with cards from different vendors at the event. The best hand wins a 75-quart Orca cooler valued at more than $550, with lots of other prizes inside.

Vendors include soap makers, metal artists, antique dealers, woodworkers, and jewelry makers.

4H members will have a fundraiser barbecue, and Roadhouse Pizza and Wings will open at noon inside the Billy Goat Saloon.

Gem Village businesses are offering specials, including 20 percent off some dog items at Valley Feed and Ranch Supply, as well as contests and specials; 20 percent off at Village Junction Antiques, and a going-out-of-business sale at Serendipity Antiques.

Ace Storage has scheduled a garage sale, as well. The car show is open to anyone who wants to drive in a cool set of wheels.

Vendor space is still available for $25 by calling 903-0090.

The event is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. and run until 4 p.m.
