Final summer block party is tonight

Bayfield's Block Party in July.

The third and final Bayfield downtown block party of the summer will be from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, on Mill Street.

The town will close off Mill Street and is inviting all community members to come downtown for food, beverages, music and fun for the whole family.

There will be a beer garden with beer provided by Bottom Shelf Brewery (proceeds go to the Be FRANK Foundation) and food sold by local restaurants and community vendors.

For the kids, there will be "street bowling" and a bouncy house provided by Lewis True Value Mercantile.

Hot off their European tour, Durango favorite Hello Dollface will provide the dancing tunes with their unique neo-soul sound.

"We've all been very pleased with the success of the first two events," said Judy Poe, assistant director and community liaison of Pine River Library.

"We'd love to see you all again, and bring a friend!"

For the last party, new vendors are still welcome, especially food vendors.

Also, all local crafters, food producers, artisans, wool producers, honey bee products and people who offer services like pet sitting, child care, pack trips, and river guides are invited to participate.

Local businesses, clubs and nonprofits are asked to showcase their products and services. All community organizations are encouraged to participate.

If you already have a town of Bayfield business license, the registration is free, otherwise, $25 will pay for your booth and license fee.

Booths are free for all nonprofits.

Vendor applications can be picked up at the Bayfield Town Hall or accessed online at www.bayfield.gov.

The event is jointly hosted by the town and Pine River Public Library.
