9:22 a.m.: A man at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served two failure to appear warrants.

4:44 p.m.: A woman at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served three failure to appear warrants.

6:28 p.m.: A woman at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

Thursday, Feb. 14

9:25 a.m.: A deputy dispatched an injured deer in a ditch on the 26000 block of County Road L.

5:42 p.m.: A man at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant.

Friday, Feb. 15

2:22 p.m.: A man at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., was served a warrant.

3:41 p.m.: The owner of Countryside Disposal accused a competing trash removal business of damaging a trash container on the 4000 block of U.S. Highway 491/160 by scraping off the company logo. He said the competitor has stolen trash cans in the past. There were no suspects or witnesses to the incident.

3:54 p.m.: A man and dog were rescued after falling through the ice at Totten Lake, at 10401 County Road 29. The man said his canine saw a fish through the ice and was jumping up and down to try to catch the fish. The dog owner called 911 and then got on his stomach and slid out to try to retrieve his dog, but he broke the ice and fell in the lake.

Saturday, Feb. 16

6:33 p.m.: A deputy dispatched an injured deer on the 29000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

8:40 p.m.: A woman was cited for criminal mischief and disorderly conduct for allegedly kicking a door, throwing three antique Zane Grey books and damaging a TV at the Rio Grande Southern Hotel, at 101 S. Fifth St. in Dolores.

8:40 p.m.: The woman who was involved in an incident at the Rio Grande Hotel in Dolores was waiting to speak to a deputy at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office Sub Station, at 420 Central Ave. in Dolores, when she began using obscenities at officers. She said she didn’t have anywhere to stay overnight, and a deputy believed she was attempting to be arrested on minimal charges so she could go to jail. Due to her level of intoxication, she was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before taken to Montezuma County Detention Center, at 730 E. Driscoll St.

Man and dog rescued after falling through ice in Cortez
