State volleyball brackets posted

The Vallecito fire was reported at 1,032 acres on Tuesday. It's burning in the old Missionary Ridge fire area, away from homes, according to the U.S. Forest Service. The terrain is too steep for firefighters. Rain or snow is the best chance to slow down the fire. Thursday's forecast includes a 20% chance of showers that night, and there's a 40% chance on Friday. Snow is possible on Saturday.
State volleyball update:
Bayfield will start play Friday morning against Colorado Springs Christian School. Bayfield is playing in the third 3A pool with CSCS and Gunnison. The Wolverines play Gunnison on Saturday morning. Bayfield is ranked third in the state, behind #1 Valley High School and #2 Platte Valley. Tickets are available from the Colorado High School Activities Association at www.chsaa.org, which also will broadcast the games, according to the chsaa website.
The winning team from the four pools will play in the semifinals on Saturday afternoon, followed by the championship at 7 p.m. All of the state championship games will be played at the same time.
