Roadrunner dropping one Bayfield-Durango trip
9/6/2013 By: Times staff report
Effective Monday, Sept. 9, Roadrunner Transit will suspend its third run from Bayfield to Durango for financial reasons.
That run has been departing at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday from the Pine River Library and arriving at the Durango Transit Center at 11:40 a.m. The return trip left the transit center at 11:55 and arrived at the library at 12:35 p.m.
Clayton Richter, Roadrunner division director for SUCAP, said, “We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause to our many loyal riders, but this action is necessary to maintain some level of service on the Bayfield route.”
SUCAP Program Director Peter Tregillus said the service was cut back in 2012 after three years of funding reductions from both the Town of Bayfield and La Plata County.
