Everett Clark Everett Clark, a resident of Bayfield, died on Feb. 21, 2008 at The Valley Inn in Mancos. He was 88. Cremation will take place with a memorial service being planned for a later date.
Mr. Clark was born to David and Emma Schroth Clark on Nov. 6, 1919, in Bennett, Colo. He served his country during WWII as a member of the Army Air Corps. Mr. Clark was a retired mechanic, working in the Operating Engineers Union. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a lifetime member of the VFW, and the Pine River Senior Citizens.
Mr. Clark’s greatest enjoyments in life were his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, dancing and telling stories.
Everett Martin Clark is survived by two daughters Kaye Phelps of Bayfield and Judi Palmer of Denver; a sister, May Lombard of Alabama; six grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Lavon, second wife Elva, and two brothers Dan and Ray.
