Bryan Howlett
Bryan Roper Howlett, 17, of Ignacio, Colorado passed away at his home on January 27, 2008 as the result of an accident.
Bryan was born in Durango, Colorado on March 22, 1990 to Bob and Tracey Howlett. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be scattered at a later date in the mountains he loved so much. Bryan was attending the Reach Program in Bayfield expected to graduate this year and pursueing his dream of being a Rodeo Bullfighter. He had just received his Professional Bullfighters Certification in Oklahoma City, OK. Bryan grew up in the area with friends in the Beaver Creek 4-H Club, Bayfield baseball teams, as a member of the youth group at the Pine Valley Four Square Church and the Bayfield Pee Wee through High School Wrestling teams. Bryan was an awesome artist and expressed his personality and sense of humor in a way that will always be cherished. Bryan was preceeded in death by his grandfather Don Howlett. He is survived by his mother and father , his brother Justin , of the family home.
His grandparents Jean Howlett of Bayfield, Shirley and Larry Pennington of Farmington, NM and Jerry Cox of Tucson Arizona. Aunt Peggy and uncle Eric Copeland and Family, Aunt Jennie Howlett, Uncle Jim Howlett, Uncle Ed, Aunt Hanne Howlett and Family, Aunt Dawn,Uncle Gary Cox and family, aunt Stacey and Randy Juckes,and Makayla, Aunt Nikki Pennington and aunt Destre Biemond. Many friends and Rodeo buddies around the country.
A memorial service will be held at the Ignacio Events Center on Thursday January 31, 2008 at 4 pm. To be followed by a potluck dinner after the service. A "Bryan Howlett Memorial Fund " has been established at any First National Bank of Durango.
He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all who loved him.
