Would you entrust your health care to a bunch of mules?
Many of us are bumfuzzled about the mind set of Democrat senators, plus both Democrat and Republican members of congress.who voted to pass health care and other legislation that is obviously detrimental to the economic health of the country. Unintended consequences of an Obama signed health care bill could cripple our health care system for decades.
Those same elected officials ignore the implications of their legislation on the freedom of We the People, as well as the constitutionality of their actions. The more I ponder on this subject, the more I’m reminded of one of my favorite stories.
Many years ago there was a small town where the entrepreneurial arts were practiced at Honest John's Used Mule lot behind the courthouse square. One day a farmer appeared at the Honest John’s establishment, declaring he was in the market for an experienced mule of outstanding quality. He further proclaimed he was on a limited budget and was looking for a bargain.
Honest John said this was his lucky day. "I have just acquired a mule with the experience, dependability and temperament you require," he declared. "And you're lucky you came in this morning. That mule is our daily special, reduced in price for the first customer who can close a deal."
The farmer and Honest John haggled a bit, as was the custom. The clincher came when Honest John revealed that the animal was a one-owner mule that had been ridden only to church on Sundays by a little old lady. "This here prime specimen has very low mileage, as you can see, and will provide years of dutiful service on your farm." That settled it. The farmer rode off a happy customer.
That afternoon the farmer returned. "I want my money back" the farmer squawked at Honest John. "This mule is defective."
"Ain't nothin' wrong with that mule," Honest John declared. "Besides, we shook on it and a deal's a deal. You got your mule and I got my money. Deal's done and closed."
The farmer shot back, "I can prove this mule is defective," he said. "You know where the road curves out south of town? Well, that road curved and the mule didn't and we both ended up in the ditch. Then when we turned into my lane and went through the gate, he scraped me off on the gate post. Next he wandered over and ran into the side of the barn. And when I turned him loose in the pasture, he ran smack-dab into a tree before he stumbled over and ran into the barn again.
"I demand my money back," he hollered." This mule is defective. This mule is
That didn't faze Honest John one little bit. "That mule ain't blind," he said. "He just don't give a damn."
It appears to me a majority of our U. S. house and senate members are just like that mule. They’re either blind or don’t give a damn. Or both.

My Vote for the New Symbol for the democratic party. Call them what they truly are and represent. Demo-c-rats
Demo- because they are demolishing our country. Rats- because they are a bunch of rats, messing up everything and making us sick. Therefore: Demo-rats. Drop the "C" because theyre not even average!
